My integrative approach
Chinese food is not an alternative food. Chinese language is not alternative language. So why should Chinese medicine be considered alternative medicine?
I prefer the term integrative medicine. Integrative medicine focuses on you as a whole person and not just your illness or disease. While it seeks to understand the underlying cause of your symptoms or condition, it does so by looking at your complete mind, body, and spirit. Traditional Acupuncture treats the person, not the disease. This can not be said often enough.
Integrative medicine also aims for well-coordinated care among different practitioners. If you see a variety of providers for your health concerns, I will regularly communicate with them. I believe when we work together as your healthcare team, you are receiving the best support possible.
I combine Eastern and Western methodologies in my practice. In case of an orthopedic injury, I incorporate principles and techniques from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western Sports Medicine to assess and treat the injury from a true integrated perspective.
Through the philosophy of personally tailored treatment, integrative and compassionate care, my goal is to help my clients live a happier and healthier life.
